Important Information
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ:
UPDATE FROM THE SURGERY AND HOW OUR SERVICES ARE BEING RUN:
Primary care is still open and we encourage people to get in touch for any health concerns that cannot be dealt with by the individual, their family or friends or the local pharmacy.
If you have coronavirus symptoms DO NOT come into the practice– self isolate and seek help via your practice or NHS 111 111.nhs.uk
Routine vaccinations and immunisations are important and are available at the practice.
Please only visit the surgery in person if you have an appointment - you will not be allowed in without a pre-booked appointment
If you think you need to see a doctor please use e-consult via the practice website or call the practice to speak to our team
If you need to be seen face-to-face then you will be given an appointment to come to the practice
We want to discourage people queuing outside a GP practice and waiting in the waiting area, to reduce the spread of coronavirus
Coming in for a booked appointment means you will be seen promptly

SICK NOTES (MED3) WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR SELF ISOLATION OR SOCIAL DISTANCING - "After 7 days, it is for the employer to determine any evidence they require, if any, from their employee. This does not need to be a fit note (MED3) issued by a GP or any other doctor." - FOLLOW THIS LINK FOR FURTHER INFORMATION https://111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/
PRIVATE MEDICAL REQUESTS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FOR KEY WORKERS AS IDENTIFIED BY THE GOVERNMENT. OTHER REQUESTS WILL BE CONSIDERED CASE BY CASE
The above measures are all based on the advice given by NHS England. They allow us to use the resources we have available in a way that patients that must be seen are still seen by a clinician.
We fully appreciate that this new model of care may cause frustrations. We are still very much in a Pandemic situation and must ensure our staff and patients are kept as safe as possible.
Accessing our various services
You have a choice of:
Using the online service 24/7 365 days a year to book certain appointments, request medication, viewing test results etc.
Online consultations can be made 24/7 365 days a year. Why phone at 8am when the phone lines are extremely busy when you could have completed the e-consult at a time convenient to you. This is extremely popular and using it helps free up phone lines for those patients that do not have access to this online option. Our commitment is to respond by 6pm the following working day.
Telephoning the Care Navigation team on 023 9282 7132 (although the phone lines can be very busy especially at the beginning of the day)
Or you can call in to either practice and talk to one of our team
There may be occasions when a Clinician asks you to email something into the practice. When this is needed they will provide you the email address to use. We don't use email as a standard method for patients contacting the practice due to the strict NHS rules and conditions placed on to incoming emails which can lead to emails from non NHS sources being rejected or attachments being removed from the email.
We hope that one of these options will suit you and as the way we work develops we will continue to add new contact methods that suit today's patients as well as the new ones.
