Patient will start to receive text messages shortly inviting them to book their Flu, COVID, or both vaccinations via the link at the bottom of the text message. If you are unable to book via the link please contact the surgery as normal and the team will be happy to help. Anyone would does not have a mobile number on their record will be contacted over the next coming weeks to offer them an appointment.
Flu Eligibility:
From 1st September 2026:
- Are pregnant
- All children aged 2 and 3 years on 31st August 2026
- All children in clinical risk groups aged 6months to less than 18 years (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter)
From 1st October 2026:
- are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2027)
- Those aged 18 to under 65 years in a clinical risk group (as defined by the Green Book, Influenza Chapter)
- Those in long-stay residential care home
- Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person.
- Those who live with someone who has a weakened immune system
- People experiencing homelessness or staying in a homeless hostel or night shelter.
Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employment.
COVID Eligibility:
- are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31st January 2027)
- are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment.
- live in a care home for older adults
