Patient Transport

Patients have access to book routine outpatient appointments with the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS), provided by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) NHS Foundation Trust, which delivers transport for eligible patients who have a medical reason that means they are unable to travel for treatment by another method for example by bus, taxi, train.

You, your relatives and carers can access patient transport booking to manage the booking process form end to end. You will be able to place, amend, cancel bookings and obtain an ‘estimated time of arrival’.

If this is your first time using Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service, you will need to book via telephone by calling 0300 123 9833 to create your record. After you have created this you will be able to use the online system. Please have your NHS number and date of birth details ready to set up the account. (Patients without online access can call this number each time they need to book, amend, cancel or check their estimated time of arrival.

Patient transport can be booked up to 20 days in advance but no later than 2 working days before the appointment date.
