Helping our patients to get the right care from the right people

Our GP appointments are in high demand! Before you make an appointment with our GP's, think about what other services might be able to help you with your condition.

You can, • Go to a pharmacy for advice and treatment for common illnesses, aches and pains that do not need a prescription. • Practice self care • Call NHS 111 if you have an urgent medical problem, but you're not sure what to do. • Visit 111 online for urgent medical advice for people aged 5 and over only. • Visit Urgent Treatment Centres if you have injured yourself within 72 hours, or need help for a minor illness. You do not have to make an appointment or register for these services.

Their are a number of NHS services you can self-refer to without the need for a GP appointment.

There are also a number of services within the community who can help you for a range of conditions.
